OUR PURPOSEThe purpose of the Thandanani Project is to glorify God by functioning as: - A loose network of people in vocational ministry (South African and American church-planters, pastors, Bible college profs, and support personnel)
- With a similar doctrinal orientation (conservative evangelical, non-Charismatic, non-denominational)
- Focused on strengthening African local churches (planting and strengthening evangelical, non-ancestor-worshipping churches), and training, mentoring, and assisting African pastors
- To care for OVC and the needy in the African communities through evangelism, discipleship, and compassion ministries
OUR VISIONBy 2015, to have a regional network of ten Biblically sound independent African churches caring for OVC and the needy in their communities through evangelism, discipleship, and compassion ministries. OUR VALUES- Building ministries that are Biblically based, theologically rich, ethically superior, and practically holistic, but culturally African
- Working harmoniously as a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, and multi-cultural team
- Striving to build ministries that are sustainable and reproducible by Africans, avoiding ongoing dependence, and beginning each project with an exit date and strategy
- Focusing on building the spiritual, ministerial, and volitional capacity of church leaders and workers, rather than doing the ministries they need to be doing
- Drawing on the vocational and financial strengths of Christians and local churches overseas by way of well-planned and meaningful short-term ministry
